another year ends and i feel very grateful, happy and content

it's been so nice developing these rolls of film slowly

although it was only a three week trip back in july it feels like it has continued on as i've slowly developed and posted film

this lake instantly made it onto my 'bucket list' : to see it in all seasons

our tour guide was explaining how the trees turn a spectacular kaleidoscope of oranges, yellows and reds 

we found a salzburg artist who depicts these forests and bought two of his prints

a view i will remember forever

it wasn't until the end of our final day in salzburg that i realised something was wrong with my camera

a devastating realisation when shooting film that perhaps you aren't going to end up with any shots at all

a much riskier reality than to see the instant results of digital photography

i was so smitten with salzburg - a trip into the bavarian alps on the second day had blown me away so to arrive home and realise that perahps i'd lost all of my shots was devasting

so here are the results - a somewhat weird collage of what must be incorrectly wound on film

i'm still puzzled! 

some of the results are, in a way, kind of interesting and cool ... but i still would have loved to have the originals in tact

we stayed two nights in Salzburg and three nights in Vienna

hindsight has me craving for weeks and weeks in Salzburg - a town that is truly fitting of the word picturesque

we managed to stroll through the unesco protected town centre and marvel at the hanging baskets of flowers and pastel coloured buildings

the pink geraniums at this cafe were particularly breath taking
