week 5 was railroaded ... norah jones did not impress me ...
my dad said he read a review which stated it sounded like "norah had recorded it in a bathroom"
i found this to be a true statement
i miss the rich tones and the sultry voice
this seemed a little thin and tinny

i replaced her after two days with rufus wainwright's new album - 'out of the game' (thanks dad x)
love him or hate him - it's a unique voice
a more upbeat album than his last one (understandable)
i welcomed his voice coming through my car speakers - an excellent new album


week 6 - scott matthews - 'passing stranger'

week 4 music selection is going to be hard to beat

 sharon van etten's latest album 'tramp' is just exquisite
the most incredible collaborations on this album including, to my delight, zach condon (beirut) and
aaron dressner (the national). beautiful.

sharon however was railroaded slightly at the beginning of the week with the chance discovery of an artist called john taylor
his album - bring back the stars is equally as beautiful

week 5 - norah jones - 'little broken hearts'

 

this shot is the closest thing to perfect. i want it for my walls.
