A farewell to my little Pola Street home.
Lucky enough to have beautiful parents who helped me purchase it.
I loved the foorboards and big windows instantly when I first saw it.
A fair few house mates, so many dinner parties, building a vegetable patch and  planting a native garden.

I'll always be very proud of the little home I created here.

We got the keys to our new house in April, which means we could paint over the Easter Break!
So very lucky to have both sets of parents help us paint. We were crouched in the corner toasting hot cross buns and unwrapping lots of little chocolate eggs.
The entire house was shades of beige, mushroom and eggplant!! That, combined with years of renting, meant it was screaming for a fresh coat.

White white white all over and it began to look clean and fresh!

A new school this year has given me a fresh perspective on teaching.
More time spent in the classroom. More focus on teaching - day to day - not performance based learning.
I've loved being back in the classroom with 4 year olds ... and back in the classroom in a co-ed environment.
Even though this school doesn't have the frills I'm used to, it's such a refreshing and welcome change.

It's opened up space in other parts of my life.
