I never got around to posting a recap of 2020. I was deep in the throws of morning sickness (7 weeks pregnant) and it just wasn't on my to do list. I did though, keep a little list tucked in my phone which I am now transferring here for memory sake (It's January 2022 as I type)
It was an incredibly odd year. Covid took told in 2019 but his Australia in 2020. We had isolation in March, Todd shifted to working from home and set up an office in the shed. Playgrounds were shut so there was a lot of time spent playing at home and going for drives to "get out" and see diggers at work.
The list for that reason is lacking a little, however overall we felt so lucky to be in a phase of life where really time at home with our families was all we needed and we were grateful for our health and overall it not really hitting Australia too hard.
Best road trip: Moore River, Lancelin, Pinnacles, Nambam
Best trips: Falcon weekend, Singelton weekend
Best beach: More River inlet
Best meal: Propeller feast with Sillich and Bradburn family
Best vista: View from Falcon holiday house
Best party: Dave and Jackie's bonfire
Best songs: Quarantunes. Every day in isolation we chose a letter and compiled a playlist of artists with Chris and Michelle over in Melbourne (also in iso!)
Most listened to: Tame Impala, Bob the Builder
Best bushwalk: Dave's rock, Kevill Road waterfall with Nanny and Pop
Best TV series: Bodyguard, Queens Gambit, Bluey
Best podcast: MamaMia Outloud, The Happiness Lab
Best drink: The Ravenswood
Biggest surprise: Receiving a positive pregnancy test in December!!
