Wedding day!
The main reason we booked this trip was to be able to be a part of Claire and Kent's wedding day in Chester, Liverpool.
We had such a nice sleep in ... the room is really beautiful and it was so good to wander down the stairs to be greeted by a breakfast.

We had to be ready and on the bus by 11.00am, which to my delight was a double decker red bus!
It barely fit down the laneway through the trees! The church was about an hour away - would have been quicker had it not been for the buses 40 mile an hour limit!
The church was lovely - a big, grand, old building in Liverpool. Claire looked so happy and relaxed and it was a really lovely service. Hit us that we'd made such a good decision travelling all this way. It was so special to see two mates get married.

Once the ceremony was over Claire and Kent and the bridal party hopped on the bus with us and started popping the bottles of prosecco. We had some photos back at the manor and had nibbles and drinks in the greenhouse area outside the main ballroom. Brett was best man and Nathalia his girlfriend had also flown over ... it was lovely to get to know her better and spend time with them!

The tables had little jars of blue candy with Kent and Claire's names in it and the speeches were wonderful. Once they were over the room was "turned" and the DJs arrived and set up. Then at around 11.00pm the manor staff announced "supper was served" which turned out to be pretty much everything you could want from a servo after a big night but served on posh plates!

We hit the hay around 2.00am .... the Brits know how to party!
